The date on this bell is 1870.

It is rung before services at Christ Episcopal Church 

in Clarksburg, West Virginia.

Now we know our bell was made in the Meneely Bell Foundry,

located in West Troy, New York.  This foundry produced bells

from 1826 to 1952 when it closed.  The links below will provide you with more information about bells.
